1. Nature of the Project

YUIALIVE is an EDUCATIONAL PORTFOLIO PROJECT developed by Rafael Vieira (TechBeme) to demonstrate technical skills. This is NOT a real commercial streaming service. We do not provide access to copyrighted video content, do not process real payments, and do not operate as a functional streaming platform.

2. Data Collected (For Demonstration Only)

For technical demonstration purposes, we collect limited data:

2.1 Account Information

• Display name (optional)
• Email address (for OTP authentication)
• Avatar/profile picture (optional)
• Language preferences

2.2 Platform Usage Data

• Catalog browsing history (simulated data)
• Favorites and watchlist
• Viewing progress (simulated, no real videos)
• Authentication sessions
• Browser and device technical information

3. How We DO NOT Use Your Data

As this is a portfolio project, we DO NOT:

• Process real payments or credit card information
• Sell, share, or monetize your data
• Send marketing emails or commercial communications
• Use your data for commercial purposes
• Share data with third parties for advertising
• Track you outside this platform
• Store financial information

4. Educational Purpose

Collected data is used EXCLUSIVELY for:

• Feature demonstration: Authentication, user profiles, watchlist, and simulated history
• Educational purposes: Showcase skills in developing secure systems
• Portfolio project: Demonstrate skills in Next.js, TypeScript, databases, and authentication

5. Storage and Security

Your data is stored in a PostgreSQL database with the following security measures: secure authentication with Better Auth, no passwords stored (OTP system without passwords), sessions with secure and encrypted tokens, HTTPS for all communications. We recommend using a disposable or test email, as this is a demonstration project.

6. Your Rights

You have full control over your data:

• Access all data associated with your account
• Edit or correct profile information
• Delete your account and all data at any time
• Export your data (demonstration feature)

7. Data Retention

As this is a portfolio project:

• Data is kept only while your account is active
• You can delete your account anytime in settings
• After deletion, all data is permanently removed
• We do not keep long-term backups of user data
• Inactive sessions may be automatically removed
• The project may be discontinued at any time

8. Cookies

We use only essential cookies for authentication system and user preferences. We do not use tracking, advertising, or third-party analytics cookies. See our Cookie Policy for more details.

9. TMDB API

This project uses The Movie Database (TMDB) API to display movie and TV show metadata (titles, synopses, posters). We have no control over data provided by TMDB. Consult TMDB's privacy policy for information on how they process data.

10. Disclaimer

This is an EDUCATIONAL/DEMONSTRATION PROJECT. Use at your own risk. There are no guarantees of availability, stability, or service continuity. We recommend not entering sensitive personal information. The developer is not responsible for data loss or technical issues.

This policy may be updated at any time to reflect project changes. Significant changes will be communicated through the platform.
